The Institute for Technology and Society of Rio (ITS Rio) joined the Google Policy Fellowship Program in Latin America. The objective of this initiative is to connect international students from all levels and disciplines with civil society organisations and academia working on fascinating questions related to public policies and the Internet.

A researcher is chosen on a yearly basis to work at the forefront of debates on the Internet and accessibility, content regulation, copyright and creativity, consumer privacy, open government surveillance, data security, data innovation, freedom of expression and much more. The fellows are given the opportunity to make substantial contributions to ITS Rio’s work, including leading research and political analysis, developing reports and white papers, participating in government and industry meetings and conferences, and participating in other advocacy activities.
