The Institute for Technology & Society of Rio (ITS Rio) invites annually researchers, students, and professionals to enroll in the ITS Global Policy Fellowship Program.

The program is in its 9th edition and has already received 50 fellows from countries around the world with a common interest: Technology and its relations with Law.

Fellows have the opportunity to work with the team that created the Marco Civil da Internet (Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet), a law that promotes protection of fundamental rights on the internet, including privacy, net neutrality, and freedom of speech.

Fellows also choose one of four fields to develop their research during the program:

Democracy and Technology: Artificial Intelligence, civic engagement, online participation, and other topics);

Rights and Technology: Ethics and regulation of Artificial Intelligence, data protection, Internet of Things, misinformation, digital identity, and digital security);

GovTech: Digital identity – govtech and digital transformation of the government; blockchain for the public interest).
